McCall Ministries began in March of 1983 when a group of young men from Macedonia Church of God in Denton, Georgia were called into a ministry of singing and formed a Gospel singing group
and traveled as "Gospel Express". For several years Gospel Express traveled only as a six
member, Southern Gospel singing group. In April of 1988, the manager of the group, Van McCall,
accepted the calling of evangelism and added that dimension of Gospel preaching and an evangelistic
team approach to the ministry. In 1998 the ministry adopted a name change and now travels
as "McCall Ministries".
The ministry traveled through December of 2009 under God's leadership as a diversified eight member evangelistic team effort offering anointed Gospel singing, music and Gospel preaching. The ministry today consist of the 3 member team of Evangelist McCall, his wife Angie and 16 year old daughter Morgan. The scope of ministry includes Revival Crusades, God In the Hunt Youth Ministries, Christian based financial training seminars and Business Motivational Speaking.
Evangelist Van McCall is owner and manager of McCall Ministries and holds the rank of Ordained
Bishop in the Church of God. Brother McCall is a Spirit
anointed Gospel Preacher who has a unique delivery style that is highly retentive. The
evangelist brings the Word of God alive in his sermons through the
use of many objects and analogies so that even a child can grasp the difficult principles of the
Bible. Sermons preached include "Are You Using The Sense God Gave A Goose", "Get Off The Nail"
and "The Yoke Can Be Broke" in which Brother McCall uses a flock of geese, a dog sitting on a
nail, handcuffs, a braided rope and a can of 3-In-1 oil. A highlight of ministry came in 1997
in an eight week revival where there were 71 converts.
The ministry philosophy is "We are a called, chosen and anointed evangelistic ministry committed to carrying the Gospel message of Hope to this world in preached Word and song - The measure of ministry is change, and the only prescription for change is God's Spirit Anointed Word. This philosophy has been is being carried out through the singing of McCall Ministries and highly retentive preaching style of Van McCall. From 1983 through the present there have been > 1000 Christian converts resulting from this ministries effort.
